Adams is a Congolese environmentalist, a journalist and a social entrepreneur who is a global citizen. He is currently the founder and Coordinator of ‘Conserv Congo ONGD’, an Umbrella non profit organisation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The organisation is in partnership with the ICCN (Institut Congolais pour la Conservation de la Nature) with goals to preserve the Congolese natural heritage through nature conservation; Anti poaching campaigns and programmes; Promotion of scientific tourism; sustainable development and capacity building. A former award-winning investigative journalist in the South African print media, He was shot three times while on duty in 2006. The incident left him traumatized but a stronger and better man. He has since dedicated his life on the plight for a better environment through the mining industry first and later in nature conservation. He is currently the driving force behind the ‘Salonga People’s Conservation Initiative’ in and around the Salonga National Park. An alumnus from Rhodes University’s School of journalism, he also holds diploma in environmental management, project management and other short courses from various institutions across the world.
